Professor Winnie Peng’s research and teaching interests include family businesses, family office, entrepreneurship, private equity and venture capital. Her articles are published in top academic journals as well as local and international media. She has also published various case studies on renowned family businesses and multinational corporations in Asia. Professor Peng teaches family business courses for MBA students, current owners and next generation members of family businesses from around the world, and senior executives of global financial institutions.

Professor Peng is currently the Associate Director of the Tanoto Center for Asian Family Business and Entrepreneurship Studies, Associate Director of the Thompson Center for Business Case Studies, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST); Director of Education for Hong Kong Family Office Association; Founding Committee Member of the Case Center of Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools; and Instructor of the “Private Equity Fundamentals Course” of the Hong Kong Venture Capital Association. Professor Peng received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Tsinghua University, and her PhD degree in Finance from HKUST. She is also a graduate of Harvard Business School Executive Education program “Private Equity and Venture Capital”.
